As we’ve watched Snoop Dogg enthusiastically bounce around Paris during the 2024 Olympics from one venue to another, it’s clear he’s living his best life. He’s sharing Skittles with A’ja Wilson while sitting courtside, holding babies, riding horses, and having a blast as an “Olympic Ambassador of Happiness.”

Aside from Gold Zone, Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone, Stephen Nedoroscik, and Gabby Thomas, Snoop’s happiness has been one of the best parts of the Olympics. Snoop Dogg has been the breakout star of these Olympics with his charming and engaging personality. He’s been captivating, providing everybody with a behind-the-scenes look at what he has been up to. His unabashed joy has made most people invested in what his next adventure will be.

The infectious joy displayed by Flava Flav in his support for the United States water polo team and numerous other Olympic athletes is a sight to behold. Snoop Dogg and Flava Flav, two rap icons of my youth, are clearly having the time of their lives. Their exuberance is a refreshing reminder of the transformative power of joy, making the Olympics even more entertaining and engaging for all of us.

Sporting smiles that brightened entire arenas, Simone Biles and Jordan Chiles, shared in delight at Rebecca Andrade’s gold medal gymnastics performance by bowing and saluting her. It was a poignant image of strength, respect, and vitality, reminding everybody of the personal joy of competition. The beautiful displays of sportsmanship throughout the Olympics have been emotional. The extraordinary power of witnessing dreams become a reality has given me goosebumps and made me happy.

Even the presidential campaign has been a showcase of how much happiness and energy can be contagious. Kamala Harris’s rallies have resembled a pep rally, concert, and family reunion rolled into one. The uplifting messages may be inspirational, but the enthusiasm of the crowds — fueled by hope — has been a difference-maker.

The significance of joy cannot be overstated. The ability to spread positivity is a superpower we all possess. In a world where negativity often takes center stage, being a beacon of positivity can make a significant difference. It’s a source of inspiration and hope, and its impact is undeniable.

Spreading joy is something we all should aspire to do because it’s free. Romans 10:14–15 says, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.”

Optimism, laughter, and happiness are windows to the soul of life. Love in action gives you happiness. In former president Barack Obama’s memoir “A Promised Land”, he shared the importance of celebrating success no matter how small and amplifying it. That’s perfect, especially when you have a joyful spirit that spends time lifting others up.

Joy is a powerful force that transcends barriers and remains the ultimate unifier. Like love, joy’s ability to dispel hate and negativity is unparalleled. It’s a universal language that brings people together, creating harmony.

Snoop Dogg dining with Martha Stewart, watching judo with Lester Holt, or swimming with Michael Phelps is proof of that. Snoop Dogg would have a million medals if fun and joy were Olympic sports.

Remember this from John 16:24: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.”
